Lama Abou Ghali

Prior to joining Saffar Capital, Lama was the Senior Capital Markets Analyst for ABQ Zawya. Reporting to the CEO, Lama was responsible for producing and managing all content and tools related to the developing regional capital markets with the aim of having the company's platform as the number one source of daily financial intelligence and commentaries for all professional and institutional investors.

From 2001-2004, Lama was a Business Development Consultant at Trycana Development, where she coordinated with Canada's International Development Agency (CIDA) to promote new venture capital investment projects between Canadian counterparties and external investors. She acted as a key player in the provision of industry and competitor analysis, market research, financial forecasting and working capital evaluations for the business development of new ventures in the MENA region. Prior to that, she held the posts of Investment Analyst and Money Market Dealer at Union National Bank from 1997 to 2001.

Lama received her BBA in Finance from the University of Texas in 1994 and her MBA from the John Molson School of Business in 2003.
