Rima Kadi

Prior to joining Saffar Capital in 2007, Rima spent three years as a Researcher in the Economic Analysis Division of the United Nations Commission, ESCWA (Economic and Social Commission of Western Asia) in Beirut. Rima was responsible for conducting research and general economic analysis on ESCWA countries (Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen), and contributing to recurrent studies published by the division including "Survey of Economic and Social Developments in the ESCWA Region", “Estimates and Forecasts for GDP Growth in the ESWA Region”, “The Millennium Development Goals in the Arab Region 2002”, “Economic Trends and Impacts in the ESCWA Region” and others.

Rima was also an Economics Instructor at the American University of Beirut.

From 2001-2003, Rima was a Graduate Assistant at the American University of Beirut. She assisted professors in their research studies by heading their respective research teams and representing outputs in different international forums. She was also involved in teaching elementary microeconomics and giving problem solving sessions to sophomore and junior students.

Rima received her BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut in 2001 and her Masters in Financial Economics from the same university in 2003. She was trained at BLOM Bank in 1999, Merrill Lynch in 2000 and the United Nations in 2002.
